Режим системного управления – самый привилегированный режим выполнения на

процессорах архитектуры x86/x86_64, даже более привилегированный, чем режим

"ring 0" и аппаратный гипервизор (VT/AMD-v), известный также, как "ring -1".

Одной из причин, которая позволяет считать код SMM столь высоко

привилегированным, является его способность получать доступ ко всей системной

памяти, включая ядро и память гипервизора. Стандартные механизмы защиты памяти

операционной системы (Page Tables), равно как и средства виртуализации памяти

Наше желание изучить код SMM на наличие потенциальных проблем с безопасностью

SMM и весь BIOS будет снять чип SPI с материнской платы и сделать дамп его

конструктивной особенности, позволяющей реализовывать определенный функционал

небезопасным способом. Эта недоработка привела к тому, что в обработчике SMM

появилось 40 с лишним дыр, позволяющих внедрить код в режиме SMM. Мы создали

ответственность за создание STM? Инженеры Intel считают, что это должны быть

либо поставщики базового оборудования, либо изготовители BIOS. Очевидно, STM

должен стать частью системной BIOS, так же как SMM.

В связи с этим возникает и второй вопрос – если мы не верим в способность

поставщиков оборудования создать безупречный код SMM, то почему мы должны

доверять им создание свободного от изъянов STM? Ведь он куда сложнее, чем

обычный SMM, так как STM – это гипервизор, который должен обеспечивать для

обработчика SMM виртуализацию памяти, ввода/вывода и обработки на процессоре.

Более того, он должен работать параллельно с существующими VMM, такими как Xen.

Однако с такими контрдоводами мы вынуждены будем не согласиться. Во-первых,

не следует забывать о том, что компания Intel сама является производителем

оборудования и BIOS-ов, так как она продает материнские платы и делает

микросхемы BIOS к ним. Во-вторых, когда речь заходит о безопасности, нельзя

называть отсутствие спроса в качестве собственного оправдания. Если бы все

поступали подобным образом, мы до сих пор так и не начали бы пользоваться

функцией snprintf() :).

Поэтому мы должны задаться вопросом, настолько ли хороша была идея создания

Когда раздача ведётся путём добавления новых серий, при каждом добавлении создётся новый торрент. Чтобы начать докачку новой серии, пользователям необходимо сделать следующее:

(1) остановить скачивание,

(2) удалить старый торрент у себя из клиента (старые серии удалять не надо),

(3) скачать новый торрент и запустить его у себя в клиенте вместо старого, при этом указать клиенту путь в старую папку, куда и должно происходить скачивание новых серий.

Ваш клиент при этом должен произвести хеширование (проверку) старой папки (если не производит сам - помогите ему сделать это), и будет докачивать только те серии, которых у вас ещё нет. Старые серии при этом не удаляются, а продолжают раздаваться!

Eсли вы уже удалили старые серии, то предотвратить повторную закачку старых серий можно, отжав галочку в соответсвующих местах при запуске нового торрента. По возможности, желательно не удалять старые серии как можно дольше, чтобы релизёр не столько продолжал раздавать старые серии, а смог сконцентрироваться на новых.

Mother 1+2 is a nice little package that includes the first two entries on the cult=classic franchise known as MOTHER, or EarthBound in the USA/Europe.

The hacks provided here allows you to modify the Mother 1+2 ROM to autoboot directly into either MOTHER or MOTHER 2.

The Mother 1 Autoboot patch makes the compilation game boot directly into the MOTHER (NES) portion of the ROM.

The Mother 2 Autoboot patch autoboots the splash screen of the English translation first and then into the Mother 2 (SNES) portion of the ROM.

How To Play

To play the game as two players, you need to upgrade to the level 2. After upgrading to the level 2, you can go to the lobby with "Multiplayer" button. Choose the person you wnat to race against from the list at the right of the screen. You can go to the lobby with your friend by clicking "Yes" in dialogue window. Then you can start the game by clicking on "Ready" button. Or you can match automatically with a player by clicking "V.S" button.

You can setup your heros appearence, dresses with Arrow keys by clicking "Runner" button at the main menu.

Lingering Flame is wildly effective against this boss during its first phase. If placed on its track, the chariot will always move just barely slowly enough to still take damage from the detonation.

This boss in his chariot keeps riding in circles on the track maiming everything in his way, while at the same time the player is having to deal with pesty skeletons who are getting reanimated again and again by two Necromancers sitting further behind on the track. While advancing the track clockwise, and hiding in those two-man-wide alcoves along the track, killing the Necromancers, who are hiding in alcoves (one at the middle of the track; the other, at the near end), is a top priority.

On the left side near the end of the track there is a lever which, once pulled, will shut the sturdy gate tight causing the boss's horse to crash into and topple. Now is the time to strike. See phase 2 below.

Note: The sorcery spell Yearn almost trivializes this first phase. Casting the spell as soon as you enter the fog gate lures the skeletons towards it and keeps them busy while they are getting maimed by the chariot. Recast the spell whenever you see skeletons ahead of you on the track.

You will now have the boss on the ground an no longer running in circles. The horse can do some major damage, but is mostly easy to dodge. If you are far away, the horse will rear up and charge at you. Roll to the right or left at the last second to be able to get a hit in. If you are near, the horse will rear up and stomp down. You will need to roll backwards to avoid this. Perhaps the best chance to strike is when the horse begins its Dark Breath attack. As soon as you see this starting, roll towards the horse to get next to it. Here the breath will not hit you and you are able to get several hits in before the attack stops.

After defeating the first Necromancer and his skeletons, you can simply sit in a gap near the entrance and shoot spells like Soul Arrow or Lightning Spear when you see the Chariot coming around the corner (use Binoculars to aim). Poison Arrow s will also do the job. The other skeletons and their Necromancer will not aggro and you won't need to pull the gate down. At around 30% health he will not be able to make the jump in the arena and you'll find the horse hanging off the ledge, immobile for you to easily finish off in one hit.

Homing Soulmass can also be used as it will fire off a guaranteed hit each time the Chariot passes by. It takes about 10-15 hits (depending on your stats) to take the boss down to 30%, so bring something to recharge spells, such as Amber Herb. Twilight Herb. or Wilted Dusk Herb. Other spells of note are Lingering Flame. Lifedrain Patch. and Dead Again .

This is an extremely safe, easy, and foolproof way to take down the Executioner's Chariot.

• An Alluring Skull can be used to bait the Skeletons away from you while you go kill the Necromancers that raise them.
• You can roll through the spikes in the Chariot's wheels and take no damage if you time it well.
