I have seen way to many Black Metal 'lessons' written by people who obviously do NOT know about this incredible genre beyond the information of the Inner Circle on Wikipedia. Katawba Valley Land Trust

The South Carolina Conservation Bank received funding for operations and land conservation projects in the FY12 budget approved during the recent session of the South Carolina General Assembly. The Bank received $2 million for land conservation projects. However, this money will have to be used to fund existing projects that are part of a backlog of projects for the Bank since losing its funding two years ago.

The South Carolina Conservation Bank is funded through the documentary stamp tax which is collected on real estate transactions. However, the Bank receives no funding in years in which the funding for state agencies is cut. This has been the case for the past two years; however, specific budget provisos have provided limited funding for the Bank and kept it operating.

The Conservation Bank faced political challenges in receiving funding in this very difficult budget year for South Carolina, but the Bank received support from a majority of House and Senate members resulting in funding for the Bank and land conservation. However, Governor Haley vetoed all funding for the Bank, both its money for operations and land conservation. The Governor’s veto was overridden by a large majority in both the House and the Senate demonstrating strong support for the work of the Conservation Bank.

The South Carolina Conservation bank is extremely important to the conservation work of land trusts in South Carolina. Almost 80% of all funds received by the Bank since it started receiving funding in 2004 have gone to South Carolina’s land trusts for conservation projects throughout the state. The Katawba Valley Land Trust has funded two key land conservation projects with funds from the Conservation Bank – the purchase of the Rocky Creek tract in Great Falls and an easement on Cotton Hills Farm.
