I had some kind of problem with my Ghost 15 installation. I kept giving me this message that it couldn't communicate with my computer? Probably had something to do with getting a new external hard drive for my backlups.

I finally decided to just reinstall it, to reset everything. It told me that I had to uninstall it first. I did that and it still kept telling my I had to uninstall.

I ran Revo Uninstaller. It still kept telling me I had to uninstall it before I could reinstall it.

I finally found the Norton Removal Tool and after running that it would let my reinstall.

When I started it, it said I didn't have permission to run it, even when I logged in as Administrator. I found the instructions that said I had to uninstall it again, run the reset permissions tool, and then reinstall it again.

I think I did that, (it's weird takes me to a page with no active buttons and I have to click at the top of the screen giving permission to install something, then nothing) now it still tells me that I don't have permission to configure Ghost when I start it.

I'm about ready to give up and switch to another program, I've run Ghost for years, but this is crazy. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, I have the UAC turned off, I don't know what else I can do.

Как и чем удалить старый антивирус? Утилиты для очистки компьютера от антивирусов

Перед установкой любого антивируса в обязательном порядке необходимо удалить предыдущий защитный продукт. Частенько приходилось выслушивать жалобы клиентов по поводу очень медленной работы компьютера. На поверку оказывалось, что в системе установлено два, а то и три антивирусных программы -все бесплатные, либо с истекшим сроком лицензии! К слову, уважаемый мной Антивирус Касперского даже не станет устанавливаться на ПК, пока не удалишь его конкурентов. Еще раз повторюсь — в системе должен быть только один антивирус и точка! В данном случае количество совершенно не означает качество.

Если все хорошо, то удаление ненужной антивирусной программы можно произвести средствами самой ОС Windows. Для этого необходимо зайти в Панель управления — раздел «Установка и удаление программ» (для Windows XP) или Программы и компоненты (для Windows Vista, 7). Выбираете свой продукт и жмете Изменить/Удалить.

Пара нажатий на кнопку ОК и все. Антивирус удален, только обязательно после перезагрузите свой компьютер, чтобы завершить очистку.

На случай, если программа деинсталляции работает некорректно (например повреждены установочные файлы) каждый уважающий себя разработчик создал собственную утилиту по удалению остатков своего антивируса. Здесь я дам ссылки на самые необходимые и распространенные программы.

Сохраните исполняемый файл на своем компьютере, запустите его. Введите защитный код в поле. Программа должна сама определить какой продукт у вас установлен. Далее жмите «Удалить». По окончании программа предложит перезагрузить ПК. В случае, если процесс затянулся, либо удаление завершается некорректно попробуйте тоже самое проделать в Безопасном режиме Windows .

Чтобы удалить Norton Antivirus архисложных вещей делать не надо. Запускаем программу, принимаем лицензионной соглашение, вводим антиспам код (а вдруг это злобный вирус пытается деактивировать защиту) и вперед. Не забываем перезагрузить ПК для завершения.
